The 114 photographs in this volume were culled from the Haas archive through the efforts of his son, Alexander and the Haas's friend Jim Hughes a distinguished editor, writer and photographic critic. They have been drawn from some 100,000 negative created by Haas between the 1940'S and 1960's. Over half have never been published before, and many of those which were published have been lost in the rush of history.
